Dale Prokopovich is an Accelerator physicist at MedAustron where he has been working on commissioning and optimisation of the synchrotron for medical treatment. Dale has been collaboratively developing innovative extraction methods and focusing on improvements in the quality and performance of the extracted beam for possible clinical application. Dale has also recently taken on the role of leading the technical development program to improve the efficiency and throughput of particle therapy at MedAustron.

Before moving to MedAustron Dale has been, and continues to be, heavily involved in particle therapy community within the Australian context including membership of particle therapy steering committees, co-hosting particle therapy study tours to Japan as well as the development of detectors for complex radiation fields including particle therapy applications.
